I am a volunteer firefighter in my hometown of Benson Vermont and I was looking into joining the department here and this site is amazing. I come form a department where there are only 12 members and usually a maximum of 5 show up to calls. I would like to be a part of a larger department and work to earn my FF1. I will be by to visit at some point to introduce myself. |

To Everyone at Station 74:My wife, my two children, and I want to express our heartfelt appreciation to all of your members who responded to the fire at our home on Spring Garden Street on September 12. Thank you so much for containing the fire as well as you did and for the time you spent ensuring that it was completely out. Thank you, too, for your members’ sympathy and professionalism in relating with my family and me that night. We express a special thank you to whoever went and brought back stuffed animals for the children. That was an extra touch of thoughtfulness that meant a lot to us. THANK YOU to the E-town Fire Department members who helped me rescue the cat from the tree on March 12th. Your willingness to perform this public service (when you could have so easily said no) was greatly appreciated! I decided to take her to the Humane League of Lancaster County later that day, but was ready to adopt her if no one else would. Now named "Jewel," she was given a clean bill of health and just adopted by a family on Tuesday! Again, thank you for taking time out of your day to help the cat – and of course for your dedication as firefighters serving the E-town community. |
